Jake consoles Lady Rainicorn's worries and then asks T.V to get him a chocolate bar. Lady Rainicorn is worried about T.V's computer gaming addiction, as Jake is seen behind reading a newspaper. The episode begins with a game screen, which is revealed to be a computer game being played by T.V. discovers a lost diary and sets out to solve a decades-old mystery. You are not going to want to miss this 2-hour holiday television movie!!!!īut that is still a few weeks away. (8:30pm in Newfoundland), and it will have a repeat broadcast on Christmas Day. "A Heartland Christmas" will premiere on Sunday, December 12 at 8:00pm across the full CBC network. Nothing wrong with animals being prominent on Heartland, huh?Īnd looking down the road a bit, on the CBC Heartland Facebook page I answered a question about "A Heartland Christmas," which I should pass on to you so you can mark your calenders. You'll notice that for the first time all six episode photos posted have animals in them - either horses, the aforementioned donkey or a chicken, which Mallory uses to great advantage to have a little fun with Badger. This is a fun and at the same time touching episode, with many lessons learned. And Sarah has a pet donkey, which plays an interesting role itself, helping out Amy with a horse she is treating. In the role of Sarah, Heartland is pleased to have guest star Alberta Watson, who was a lot of fun on set and totally nails her performance. On the Dude Ranch front, Lisa and Lou are not seeing eye to eye (surprise!), and this only gets more complicated when Peter returns to Heartland. Also, Badger has (ahem.) better luck on a horse this week, but because of it, he and Mallory go off on an adventure neither of them will soon forget. When they do, the family helps her face the ghosts of her past. In it Amy and Ty convince Sarah, the town recluse, to let them treat her sick horse at Heartland. It was amazing how many of you guessed an alpaca, and equally amazing the suggestions of a hippo or a rhino, which kinda makes me wonder what type of farms some of you visit.īut what is a donkey doing on Heartland, you ask? That brings us to our new episode, "Where the Truth Lies," written by Ken Craw & Mark Haroun and directed by John Fawcett. Well congratulations you three - a donkey it is!!! Ponigrl wrote - Okay i'm going in for a wild guess and saying that the mystery animal is a donkey or a mule. Zoey guessed everything you might find on a farm - Pig, cow, sheep, dog, cat, mouse, horse, chicken, goose, duck, turkey, donkey, goat. Maybe not as common as a horse or a cow, but certainly not as head turning as an otter! And that is my last word on the subject. So the following week I wrote - One last clue about the mystery critter - this animal is not really out of place on a farm. And man, they're fast little things, too! They're always such a nuisance on the ranch set, stealing the eucalyptus leaves from the horses' feed buckets. It did make me wonder why we have never had a koala in an episode. the first two speculative guesses from you guys were a koala and an otter. Well, episode 405 is going to once again let Heartland fans see an animal that has never before appeared on any previous episode! The only clues I have been given is that the animal 1) is a mammal, 2) has four legs, 3) is not native to Africa and 4) will have you all going "Awwwww!" Hmmmmmm - I guess that means it can't be a snake or an elephant. On June 23 I wrote - Next week I'll let you know a little more about the two new episodes that are about to begin production, but one thing I WILL reveal to you right now: if you recall, in season 3 a wolf and a terrifying cougar were introduced into the series.
